Found it pretty childish and not very profound. Kind of disappointed because I always heard Tupac was a poetic genius. Here is an example:

quote:

I know not what I search 4
But I know I have yet 2 find it,
Because it is invisible 2 the eye
My heart must search 4 it blinded.
And if by chance I find it,
Will I know my mission is achieved?
Can one come 2 conclusions,
Before the question is conceived?
Just as no one knows what lies beyond the shore,
I will never find the answer 2 what it is that
I search 4.

This would get a C+ in high school English.

Aw, c'mon man! It's sheer genius to use "2" and "4" for "to" and "for"!

Just ask Prince!

If Biggie wrote poetry it would have been way better.

Just like his raps.

Most overrated artist of my generation.

I have never really gotten the Tupac hype. I guess he is okay, but there were so many other better rappers when he was alive. That, and he is somewhat of a poser.

Does Nas do poetry? If so, I bet it's pretty solid.

"The Rose That Grew From Concrete" is one of the few poetry books that I own. I read it about once a year.
