Someone on Reddit had a great comment:

If we’ll let bodies rot in public because money we’ll let a virus spread because money

Wouldn’t surprise me if it were cancelled.

The local organizer does not want to change it but is going to obviously follow whatever AEG directs. Buku will be the early indicator for their policies. Or keep an eye on other AEG events around the country.

I hope JazzFest has some really woke conferences planned to make up for SxSW being cancelled

Just read an article that states the promoter will nab between 75-150m in insurance money if cancellation is forced by city/county.

They should make a decision soon so people can change their plans accordingly. The sooner the better.

Doesn't help that the first case in Louisiana popped up in New Orleans.

Even though it's close to 2 months out, I'm sure officials will overreact like they have been all across the nation.

Saw rumors of a Coachella postponement til October. If that domino falls look for the spring festival season to collapse

Saw Pearl Jam postponed their Spring tour. Wonder if other big acts like Foo Fighters and D&C will do the same

It wouldn’t be an overreaction. Nothing has been so far.

Screw Jazzfest I'm worried about Dave Chappelle and Joe Rogan cancelling which is the same weekend.

If they dont, I except epic an Chappelle routine surrounding COVID-19

post festival shows

What do you mean by "post festival"? The City has banned any gathering of 2500+ people. For any event less than that, it's left up to the organizer/venue. There will still be lots of "unofficial" shows.

Some of the acts playing the festival were supposed to play other venues the next week. Or, so I was told. Is Tyler/Sturgill still on?

Jazzfest cancellation "unlikely"

Fyre festival 2.0 in the making here. The organizers can push through and the audience can buy tickets but what happens when the performers pull out?
