Think we are coming to the first weekend of jazzfest with 2 couples. Looking to get an Airbnb. Is there any areas to avoid? the prices are all over the place, and I don't know much about NO.

Don't worry, this is generally good advice, although I have some friends who have bought in Central City in recent years. And the 7th Ward is HUGE--the Fest is actually there. There are decent places there.
