Pantera
——————————————————
To be able to witness the first circle Pit of death at JazzFest leading to destroyed lawn chairs & injured 70 year olds in the wake of it does intrigue me……….But it won’t happen even if Phil Anselmos is from New Orleans. This Pantera tribute to the Abbot brothers is not JazzFest material.

Iggy Pop. Just put out new album. He is 75 years old, so a little younger than average jazz Fest fan

Lizzo is a definite. New Orleans stop on her website and when you click the ticket link it goes to the jazz fest site.
Based on her other tour dates show will be first weekend

I’d give the Turnpike Troubadours a greater than 1% chance.

Ringo Starr has a tour starting in May in the US. He would be a good fit for JF.

I got a couple right (can’t believe Santana is actually on there), lol.

Mumford & Sons AND Lumineers seems hilarious to me for some reason.

I wouldn’t mind seeing Ed Sheeran again as he really puts on a great performance just him and his looper.

Wu-Tang Clan with Soul Rebels sounds incredible.

Gary Clark Jr. is a great get for Jazz Fest.

Overall, pretty meh lineup for me as a rock n roll fan, but it could be a lot worse.

Other than people who are fans of local NO acts, I'm not sure what genre/age group they are appealing to this year.
