I don't generally hang out with the folks I go see perform, so I don't think this will be anything new

He's playing somewhere in Lewisville the night before at a place I have literally never heard of.

I saw him in Mobile with Justin Townes Earle. Honestly I thought his show was meh....I'm a huge fan of his solo work and was dissapointed to find out I actually bought a ticket to a DBT concert. Also, passing around a bottle of Jack on stage is pretty cheesy.

btw JTE killed it as always, that man is a god.

don't be so sure....back in 2008 my parents went there to see Billy Joe Shaver, ended up hanging out with him before the show when he came to do soundcheck.

Yeah, who wants to hear Decoration Day or Outfit? I think he should be ashamed of any work he did prior to 2007 and purge it from his setlist.

I am really disappointed in his last album, but his others are fantastic. Haven't seen him live yet

Really? I think Codeine might be his best song. I really liked the new album.

I was talking about Justin Townes Earle's new album

Here We Rest is fantastic, but I prefer Alabama Pines to Codeine, but not by much

I like his older stuff, but he left off some jams from his solo work that are better.

My bad. Alabama Pines is also fantastic. I saw Isbell when he was with DBT, but I think I'll head to Lewisville to see him with the 400 Unit. I wouldn't mind a few DBT songs thrown in there, as he's always been a great songwriter.

Ive enjoyed some of his ballads, but I find most of his stuff boring... not bad, just never inspired to listen...

Nice. Walt is badass.

And Tour of Duty is the best song on the new album IHO. Followed by Codeine.

And I once got smashed with Adam Carroll and Kevin Fowler after they opened for Pat Green. Good times.
