He might not agree with them on a lot music wise as far as whats played on the radio but his politics align with probably 75% of the people who work at the major recording studios and most of the newer mainstream artists.

I know this will be unpopular. I think JI is really low energy and uninspiring. There are much more compelling artists out there amongst his contemporaries.

I told you guys....he's not willing to work with these venues at all even though he signed contracts to play that never mentioned these new requirements. Even when the venue tries to work with him, he acts like a shitbag and doesn't budge. Everything in that article posted is what I was hearing as it happened and then watched him go seek his attention on Twitter.
And I didn't even realize Lucinda Williams was opening for him....pisses me off more now because I would have definitely gone see her.
