Just recently found TP's Buried Treasure Episodes. Awesome stuff. TP is also hilarious in the dj role.

I miss Tom Petty. The world is a much worse place with him gone.
The man had impeccable taste in music, guitars and amplifiers. A true guitar geek.
Buried Treasure is a great radio show. It would have been a blast to hang out with TP.

People ask me why I like Petty so much. I just tell them that he defines American Rock and Roll. I heard him for the first time in high school when a friend let me borrow the greatest hits CD with Mary Jane and You Don't Know How it Feels. I was an 80's/90's kid and those songs opened the door for me into his entire catalog. I think I've heard every one of his songs and seen every film clip of him online. The extended length documentary that came out a few years ago was an amazing look into his career. Also the HBO doc on Jimmy Iovine and Dr. Dre had a lot of Petty in it due to his relationship with Iovine.
In addition to his talent and cool/quirky personality, the Heartbreakers are the tightest, most professional band I've ever heard live. I've seen them 4 times, and still find it hard to believe that TP is no longer with us.

I only know his well known stuff but that's quite a lot of songs and I love all of them. I saw him about 5-10 years ago with ZZ Top and it was a great show.
I've also listened to some of his Buried Treasure shows on Sirius and always good songs and interesting tidbits.

I was in the grocery stores when one of his songs played over the sound system. Man it hurt.

Listen to him almost daily. He and those Heartbreakers were a damn fine musical act

If it's any consolation, the music lives on and inspires. Emily Linge (She's a good girl, crazy 'bout Elvis):
