You beat me to it. There’s a jazz track that I NEED to find out what the name is, but the usual suspects don’t have it in their database. Of course, the YT rip doesn’t have track IDs!

So there’s a jazz tune on YT with no song or artist ID? If you can post it here I’ll see if I can ID it for you.

Edit:

I misread the OP. I'm not sure how to isolate tracks on the downloaded audio files.

A bit of background before you go on a wild goose chase for this random dude: My granddaughter currently plays French horn in middle school band, but she’s thinking about switching to tenor sax. I was playing this compilation over the weekend and she really liked this tune starting at the 28:40 mark. I’d be much obliged if you recognize this:

Unfortunately it’s smooth jazz and it could literally be anyone. Tried SoundHound and it could not ID the song. Thought I would try.

This is kind of crude, but if you have a windows pc, open up the youtube video. Scroll over to whatever timestamp you want to start recording. Hit the windows key + G. a capture box should come up. start the video. Hit record on the capture box. hit stop on the YT video whenever you want. It will save it to videos/captures.

I already have the ability to rip a video and edit in movie maker. What I am looking for is a program that will break out all the tracks, separate drums from bass from guitar from vocals and isolate them.

The guy at the recording studio that I use sometimes, has a program for this.
It's a pretty common program at studios. I've had him use it for me to remove parts of old demos. I don't remember the name of the program, but you can probably stop by any decent pro studio and ask what the name is.
