‘King of Oklahoma’ lives rent free in my head. Love that dang song.

You think leftist politics is going to cost a neo-country hipster in today's pop culture? Kid Rock - mediocre has-been that he is - takes a far bigger "stand" in that regard.

T'was about respect for having enough backbone to risk the monetary loss and popularity. Nuggent comes to mind as well as Kid Rock (like you said) both voice strong opinions and like Isbelll all three will continue even if it cost them. To me that's a man being a man and includes women as well.... even if I disagree.
eta: It's about having a brain and pushing back against political correctness.

It’s only costing him monetarily now that Trump cut usaid
If we were all wondering how these shitty acts that don’t pull in concert and don’t sell much in the way of albums were able to keep shoving leftist politics down our throats year after year, that’s how. The taxpayers were paying for it

Kid rock is 10 times the artist isbell is and I’m not even joking. His band is better too, also I think he has black people in it so that goes to show you isbell is fake like all liberals are about his stances. “Cowboy” is a far better song than anything isbell has put out
That being said, the music industry has always had a left bent probably because most musicians have never had a real job and that was further reinforced by the deep state paying them in an attempt to indoctrinate the masses
The deep state has been involved with music since the 60s when intelligence people made their kids famous (Jim Morrison, mama cass)
It’s riskier to be a right wing musician financially. They hardly even exist. Just goes to show you that there’s hardly any money in music aside from the usaid payments which hopefully are gone forever

Your streak of total garbage-arse music takes remains unbroken. Congrats!

Kid rock writes very catchy lyrics and melodies that sound good and fluffy but when you scratch the surface they’re very deep and introspective. Also he surrounds himself with better musicians than himself and lets them shine rather than taking all the spotlight
Isbell writes clunky lyrics that are supposed to sound smart but he hardly ever is capable of rhyming words that are more than one syllable. None of his songs have much of a melody to speak of. His band sits in the corner quietly so that the audience has to focus on his mid uninspiring guitar solos
Kid rock is a smart person pretending to be dumb. Jason isbell is a dumb person pretending to be smart

This has to be a troll.
Not to go tit for tat with this inanity, but the man managed to rhyme "benzodiazepine".
That's not exactly monosyllabic.
And Kid Rock is a mouth breathing dipshit.

He rhymed peen with teen
He can have this one for his next song: “last call” and “rascal”
Or sticking with the theme of drugs: “vexed again” and “dexedrine”
