Obviously he's trying to copy Plant, but he ends up looking and sounding like Charlie fronting a band. It's comical.

it's been a hwile since i watched one of their videos, but holy hell that is a complete zeppelin rip-off all the way down to their clothes. The above video borders on satire. I don't know how anyone takes them seriously, assuming they do?

Is rock n roll supposed to be taken seriously in general? Rock n roll is all about fun and GVF is pretty damn fun to listen to. I don't think it's necessary to really over-analyze this stuff. Much like pop country, this isn't classical music, this is stuff that's fun to crack open a beer and jam out to while bbq'ing or making out with a girl in the back seat of a car. Too many people who take themselves way too seriously trying to shite on them for being formulaic despite 99% of music today still following the same chord progression of "I Got Rhythm". Jeeze, people, music is something people do for fun. It's entertainment, it's a show. People play it because it's fun. People buy tickets to see it because it's fun. Let's not pretend like rock n roll music is largely some ivory tower art form only attempted by geniuses.

So there seems to be two responses to modern music
1. I wish they still made good music like they used too
2. Who do these guys think they are? they are just coping an older band but they are not as good....

I agree. I'm really happy to hear another guitar lead rock n roll band. They are young brothers and play very tight together in their live shows and are good musicians. The singer is actually pretty decent, but does look like Charlie. They have room to grow from being a Zepp clone.

Yet, people are looking for ways to bag on them. (Zepplin clone, making fun of the singer) I like the sound. I like a new rock band making some noise.

I saw their live thing of Fallon and he sounds more like Kevin Dubrow of Quiet Riot live. On the records he’s obviously copying plant.

I like them though.
