Phish.
Radiohead is the most important band of the 90's/00's together but for the 90's alone it is Phish alone at the top of the mountain.

The lineup for camp bisco has a lot of big names, some of which are pretty good and well known. I know you'll disagree because you are older and have different tastes. It might not be as big as mountain jam as far as camping festivals go but it's probably the biggest electronic music festival in the country outside of ultrafest, which also makes it mainstream IMO. For the younger new england crowd, camp bisco is mainstream these days. This will be its 13th year.
this is pretty spot on, but if you look at the line ups, I would argue that there are bigger names at mountain jam than bisco, but you're right about the electronic scene at bisco.

I am not saying they are the most important band of the 90s just because of this article, but it is a good read

Given their sense of community, their ambition and their challenging, generous performances, Phish have become the most important band of the Nineties.

I love radiohead, but they can be tough to get into
I enjoyed the first few albums, the bends being my favorite, but then they just got too weird for me, and I like weird shite. I think Thome York's voice just wears on me as well.

I liked the bends, ok computer and kid A... But then it just got to be more of thom Yorkes solo electronic project IMO

They really are an awesome live band though. I had a new found appreciation for radiohead after that. I saw them in Houston with Andre last year. It was incredible.
