I'm not sure Jimmy would've felt he was anywhere near them as an artist. He always said he was a pretty good band leader, An average songwriter at best and a serviceable guitar picker that anyone would drop for a competent rhythm guitar player and not a particularly great singer.
But......as an entertainer, second only to Elvis. His songs were fun and his concerts as well.....and a good business man

I like Jimmy, but I wouldn't put him in the top 5 of the Sip, as far as quality of music. Success rate, for sure.
