Is Dave Grohl's broken leg the symbolic end of rock?

Will it be viewed so retrospectively? i.e. He carried the torch for a dead genre for as long as he could and then went out hard.

I'm being generous. It's been dead IMO for quite awhile. But I know music critics are always hungry for backward-looking narratives.
Foo Fighters are old now. Muse are getting pretty old now.
Seriously, is there an example of a hard rock band made of 25 year olds that is popular enough to fill arenas and has songs that are even arguably in the cultural consciousness?
Is there even an arguable equivalent of an Aerosmith now?

OK, name some bands. And to be clear, I'm not talking about the availability of some rock music I might like and be able to find from the long tail. I'm talking about bands that are in the public consciousness.

But there is a shitload of awesome rock still being made that doesn't have a wide audience in America, so it certainly isn't the "end of rock"

Courtney Barnett
Toro y Moi
Over the next month we will be getting albums from
Tame Impala
Bully
Leon Bridges (more oldschool R&B but frick it)
And most of those are debut or sophomore albums, so rock isn't going to "end" anytime soon. The era of rock being the most popular genre of music in America may have passed, but it could also make a comeback.
