I'm finally Getting to See One of My Favorite Bands

Tickets bought and I am stoked. When they reunited last year for some NYC shows I was ready to jump on a plane to see them but I couldn't get tickets. They are a top 5 band for me and I've seen Stepehen Malkmus many times but never seen Pavement.

I love MM and have been able to see them a few times. They put on a great show, you'll enjoy that one.

That'll be a good show but I've seen both a few times in small venues. And have you seen the ridiculous price they are charging for tix? No thanks

Seen both numerous times in all kinds of places. Ticket prices don't scare me much, but I haven't checked yet. We'll hit either Nashville or Memphis or maybe both.

I paid $90 ea for Pavement and that is about the most I've ever paid to see a band. I think I paid $30 to see X in a small venue last year.

I just paid $120 apiece for X/Los Lobos. We’re on the 4th row. It’ll be weird seeing them at a sit down show, but I figure it’s the last time I’ll see X. Los Lobos still gets out and about, but they’re not getting any younger. I’ve only paid more to see Macca.

I find this kind of surprising... You've been around awhile... Ive seen them twice in the past couple of years and they sound great these days... even better than the 90s..
I'm going to see their new doc at the Music Box this afternoon...

They just haven't played anywhere near me. I've seen Malkmus (Jicks) plenty of times and he is great

I saw Malkmus a couple of months back with the Hard Quartet.. they sounded great! I liked their record, but it didn't really stick in my 2024/2025 rotation...
The movie was interesting... I didn't really read much about it, so was not what I expected... It was fun though, even if it was a bit long!

They played Austin in 2010 and 2022. You didn't need to hop on a plane to see them then, baw. I was at both those shows at Stubbs and ACL Live. Both were really good. Just hit after hit after hit.
