I've never been into the rock scene, but have recently started playing the guitar. I've listened to nothing but 60s-80s rock in the past months. I envy ya'll who grew up in those decades.

Mostly rap, but in middle school i listened to stuff like Underoath and brandnew around 2005.

Pink Floyd and Metallica have really got me goin.

It's probably much more common than we older guys would like to think.

It's only going to get worse. The lack of rock radio stations in this area of the country is absolutely ridiculous.

Just to be clear. I was aware of most rock bands from the past, I just never really listened to them much/ appreciated them until now.

I'm a little envious of you, tbh. So much great stuff out there for you to discover. I'll never have a musical opportunity like that again in my life.

Playing the guitar probably really helps you get into it. For me some of my music collections I regularly listen to are nothing but a compilation of lead guitar riffs.

Listen, kids...it's the mating call for aging.

Back in the 50s there were scores of embittered old men that hated rock and roll and pinned for the days of chamber music
