Hillbilly's and rednecks have no business trying to be snoop dog, tupac, or Beonce'. Its just..... Awkward and fake. Be who and what you are... And half of these frickin yahoos can't sing live worth a crap!!!!

Edit: Happy there, blue?

I once heard a conversation between two people where one was arguing that Jason Aldean is the best in country music today and the other agreed and even said "no other country singer can rap like Jason Aldean".

I wanted to jump in and say "well is he a country singer or a fricking rapper?" But I just left it alone.

Just goes to show you how pathetic country music is today.

The REAL country music artists who built the industry and set it apart and unique are prolly rolling in their frickin graves, fallin outta their rockin chairs, or not showing their faces at the CMA farce!!!!

When I need a fill of true country in the modern setting, I watch this....

LINK

Marty Stuart drives me crazy with his hair and outfits, but MS and his band can tear it up.

The genre has been dead for years.

Damn, I used to like Country music. Haven't listened to radio much in last year or so. Tuned in tonight. I don't like any of this crap.

I knew that response was coming as soon as I posted that

Love some Sturgill simpson. The good ones are definitely few and far between in country music.

I'm all for mixing genres if it's good but he's a fricking train wreck. But I don't enjoy rap much to begin with so I might be biased.

Valid. But there's so much bad rap that I've heard that I can't even gain an appreciation for the good stuff. I just have no respect for the genre. I know it's pretentious but I'm just being honest.

Why exactly are The Doobie Brothers playing the CMAs tonight? I guess they're more country than a lot of the winners tonight

Dude music changes I like country music today; I liked the old stuff. You just have to realize its not the same kind of music it once was.

Mainstream country is bastardized pop music with a twang.

Tons of good country out there. But you won't hear it on the radio or whatever you people listen to. It's all small and local/ regional and they will never get wide spread play. You have to listen to a lot of crap to find it and nobody will like it when they do find it. You who sit in your Naugahyde recliners area not worthy.
