How to lightly age a Fender telecaster Neck?

Standard Mexican neck, maple fretboard, like new. It's going on a roughed up thinline body.
I was thinking, just sand some finish off, in the right places, on the back of the neck and on the fretboard and use a few drops of lime juice or vinegar.

I use Watco Danish Oil. About a 50/50 mix of their golden oak tint and their dark walnut tint.

I wish my D18 was lightly aged/relic'd.
I'm not brave enough to attempt anything though.

I have 2 MIM Fender telly necks, from the early 2000s. I got them for 100 bucks each, with the factory tuning machines and nuts on them. I don't mind experimenting with one of them.
Thinking about lightly scorching it with a propane torch too.

Give that neck to me and I'll scorch it with my hands during a extended 30 minute Freebird solo. Your buddies will think you got from Stevie Ray after the El Macambo set

If for looks I have no idea. If for feel, hit the back of the neck with a SOS pad then lemon oil it. Or tung oil.

Yeah, it's just for looks mostly, but I want it to play slick too. The relic guitars are so popular, I just thought I would try to build one. I got a relic thinline body, so I think I need the neck to kind of match it.
I've got some old incredible figured mahogany pieces that I'm going to make a custom pickguard from. I may rout the neck pick up for a mini humbucker. I played a cheap telly copy the other day that had that set up, and I thought it worked very well.

I have a 2007 MIM telecaster with maple fretboard that I tried to give the neck a worn/aged look. The problem is whatever they finish the neck with permeates so deep into the wood you can not sand it off. You will reach the point that you are removing wood from the neck but the slick finish is still there. I gave up, and sprayed the entire neck with tinted lacquer, gave it that aged “nicotine” color. Looked great, but because the wood is sealed by the original finish it can’t get into the grain, and eventually wears of in the areas you play a lot.

Been told this by a couple of other people too. I will probably use these for something else and find an unfinished neck for this.
I was going to order one of the all mahogany telly kits from StewMac this week. If the neck is decent in that kit, I may use it. If that doesn't work, I'll order an unfinished telly neck.

The Danish oil I recommended is only for unfinished necks, I forgot that very key detail haha.

.. Now you tell me.. That oiled up, finished neck, shot out of my hands like a bullet, went down the side of the hill like a Hybrid water ski/spear..and took out my neighbor's chicken house.
They've got lawyers and accountants working around the clock now, tryin to decide how bad they gonna hurt me.
As always though, thanx for the input!
