Randy Rogers,

Saw them at the Varsity a year or two ago, pulled probably 300.

Roger Creager,
Plays the Varsity regularly, usually pulls 200? Saw him at Auburn this Fall, pulled 50.

REK plays the Varsity and HOB-NO regularly, decent crowds.

I think Casey Donahew played Varsity recently, but I missed that show.

Don't recall the others playing LA, at least not regularly.

im not sure how many people varsity holds but it seemed like way more that 300 at the last several rrb shows.

theres a pretty good following (or used to be a few years back) amongst the up town new orleans kids with texas country.

saw creager in nola several years back. he opened for boland. during creagers set college chicks everywhere at least 100 or so ppl. after creager finished all of them left and boland played to a crowed of about 12.

They, along with old country, are all I listen too. Great stuff. Boland, Aaron Watson, Turnpike Troubadours, and Jackson Taylor are my favorites.

Still, it's not popular at all in Louisiana unfortunately.

I like to have a few doubles listening to some Ray Wylie Hubbard- wish he'd come around these parts more often...

Yeah. One of the few I haven't seen yet. Their newest album is badass.

Untrue about Turnpike Troubadours in LA. I talked to the other Hogs founder, not BlackenedOut, who books the music and he said he tried to book TT for this year's Hogs and they couldn't do it. Said they couldnt play LA until June earliest.

Good to know. I asked RC (TT's bass player)about LA back in October and at that point, nobody had approached them about playing there. As I said, they said they would love to play but haven't been asked. Chances are they're booked until June, but I'm glad they've been invited.

If Waylon & Willie counts as Texas country, than very popular where I live. Honkey Tonk Heros will be my next song after Duane finishes shreading.

I can see them at The Varsity. Doc's friend needs to book them. As I said, they have a guarantee and the venue may not think it's worth the risk but I think they would do well there.
