How loud was your first concert to you?

I don't mean how loud was it compared to other concerts you attended, but how loud did that first concert feel to you?
Me, my first show was Triumph, Saxon, and Stranger back in 82, and managed to get up close to the stage. Moments before Stranger took the stage, one of the techs started tapping on the snare drum, and I immediately thought "Oh shite, I don't know if I'm gonna be ready for this", lol... once the lights went out and the band started playing, I honestly wondered if I was gonna have to remove myself and watch from the back, I was that unprepared. Anyway, after 15 minutes or so, either I'd gotten used to it, or my ears were too fatigued to put up a fight anymore
Been to hundreds of shows since then, some of which were probably louder, but man was I unprepared for that first concert...

My 1st concert was Blue Oyster Cult, late 70's at Boutwell Auditorium, I don't remember it being extremely loud.
Saw the Ramones at a small venue and was pretty close to the stage and my ears rang for days !

My first concert was CCR late ‘60s.
I remember thinking it was loud, no fancy light show, no big stage production, just stacks of amps and CCR doing what CCR does.

KISS in 78. I was 9 years old and my mom took me. I can't recall how loud it was, because it doesn't stand out to me, like some other bands i have seen in 40 years of live music

David & The Giants, 1977 in Natchez, Ms...I’m sure it wasn’t loud at all, but the smoke, lights, etc. just made it FEEL loud to a little boy...

My first real concert was Dolly Parton at the house of blues in New Orleans. Despite the fact that she played about seven instruments flawlessly, the only thing I could hear were those big old tits calling my name.

My first show was Maiden in 1985 with Accept opening. It was the first time I felt the music like in my chest. No one I knew had a massive sustem at home or in the car.

My first concert was RATT at the Hirsch Memorial Coliseum in Shreveport. It was unreal how loud shows were back in the 80’s.

The first show I went to was Bon Jovi with Cinderella. The loudness was tolerable. As far as the loudest goes, AC/DC.

I caught Metallica on their Poor Touring Me trek to promote the Load album at the Mississippi Gulf Coast Coliseum in 1997. The band was so loud that you couldn't communicate with the person standing right next to you. It's still the loudest show I've seen.
I'd love to see AC/DC live before it's all said and done; I'm told it doesn't get any louder than that.

Well it was not my first concert, but Commander Cody was so loud it felt like someone put ice picks in my ears.
Ears were still strugling the next day.

My first concert was Spinal Tap. England’s loudest band.

In the 70's and early 80's it was just normal for your ears to ring or hum for several days after a concert. Thankfully audio technology improved.
Loudest concert I ever attended was Kiss in Shreveport.

First concert- Bob Seger in ‘75. Not that loud but got real familiar with napalm levels of hippie lettuce smoke.
Nugent in ‘78 very loud and more smoke.
Clash in ‘78 or ‘79- no hippie lettuce but it blew out my hearing and have had tinnitus since!

Not my first concert but Tool 2020 at Bridgestone in Nashville was by far the loudest show I've ever been to. They had that shite turned up to 11 and it was awesome.

Peter Frampton was my first concert. I don't remember it being particularly loud.
The loudest concert I ever saw was Motorhead in a large club that held maybe 1,500. I am not sure I ever recovered. The sound just blew you back. They had Marshall stacks that weren't for show.

My first was Chicago in '83 or so. Didn't strike me as loud. Nor did Billy Joel. Or Huey Lewis and the News.
But my next one, solo David Lee Roth....that was loud.
Loudest was Metallica, and that was at an outdoor pavillion. Can't imagine that being indoors.

It wasn’t my first concert but I saw Ratt/Britny Fox/Kix in ‘89 and it was really loud. My ears rang for days.

My first was Bon Jovi with Skid Row opening. Don't remember it being overly loud. Loudest concert for me was J Mascis & the Fog. His guitar sound was so loud but also very clear.
