I'm pretty sure the talent buyer has nothing to do with the price of product.

if you aren't being a drunk idiot, they'll give you free water. also bowen doesn't run the venue guys he's the talent buyer, not the manager.
contact the manager here if you have issues: LINK

My butt will hurt if I have to pay $2 for the most abundant thing on earth. Unless I ask for a bottle of water, then I get it.

I like to get bottles of water because when I'm jawing at a Bassnectar show I can chew on the bottle cap

Also I think it is funny when the venue adjusts the water price for specific shows i.e. jacking it up for EDM

EDM = Expensive Water

They have to make their money somewhere. If Kid's aren't buying booze, you have to increase the profit margin with Water. You have to pay off the high liability insurance premium, especially when the kids can't afford to buy water, then become dehydrated and rushed to the ER

What's your opinion?

$2 bucks for a bottle water is pretty cheap. I think you should find something else to bitch about.

this is pretty much the case everywhere I go these days that isn't a straight up bar.

Even a local bar charged me for a bottle of water. I just took it out of the bartenders tip which I am sure pissed them off. But if I am order $20 worth of drinks, you can give me a glass of water too. hell, for some drinks a water back is considered part of the drink.

To clarify-there isn't an option to get a cup of tap water with ice

This happened to me one year at a voodoo after party. I think it was at the venue. Ferry corsten, DJ Irene, kascade, among others.

I walked up to the bar and asked for a water. Bartender said $5. I asked how much for a beer, $2.50. I needed a water badly at that moment.

It also used to suck when the state palace would turn the hot water only at the water fountains and sinks.
