I watched him with ABB back in like 2003-2005 when I lived in the northeast. Went see them at the Beacon Theater 7 or 8 times while I lived there.

Just a trend in music. For my part, I'm good with a guitar/drum solo provided it's timely and skillful.
Seemded like Edward Van Halen (incredible talent)could always make a guitar solo sing. For drums check out Billy Cobham or Carl Palmer.

FYI....Derek Trucks has been with the Allman Brothers Band since 1999.

Thanks. I just recently "rediscovered" the Allman Brothers after finding one of their CDs in the cheap-o bin at Wal Mart.

I disagree I think rock is still going and is still more popular than rap; however, rap has indeed gained popularity, but it is slowly dying now. There are no good rappers anymore ( that are mainstream).

Wilco has one of the best guitarists on the planet (Nels Cline). Solos a'plenty.
