Hangout fest security

Going for the first time next weekend. Does security typically catch you sneaking booze in? What about disguised flasks?

I attempted to bootleg whiskey into the hangout fest last year in one of those water pouch things as I did the first two days of the fest and got busted. Cop fussed me a lil bit but just made me pour it out so it wasn't a big deal. Thankfully, I was the distraction for my friend who had the bud lol

Worst case if you get caught is that they throw it away. I snuck in a water bottle of gin in 2011 pretty easily. I heard security has beefed up since then.

only try it if u aren't bringing in pot or something else. They'll only make you pour it out, but if you get searched hard and they find anything other than booze they won't look the other way.

I saw some custy having to throw away a fentanyl lollipop when security found it at the entrance gates

Yea its very hard to find drugs at it. I got some firemost shardz at STS9 in 2011. But I happened to be standing right next to some heady brah and noticed he had a bunch and was obviously selling.
I then immediately did a frickload and went and rode that ride the shoots you up really high and then drops you while I watched STS9 play their boring arse elevator music. It was pretty sweet.

I was just looking at lineups at Hangout, and clearly I went to the only year that was worth going to ('11). It's like the custiest cutsy-fest ever now. That makes me happy.

Yeah 2011 was one of the better fests I've been to. Ween was for sure the best show. That was so much fun and I'm grateful I got to see one of their final appearances . Also saw good sets by Primus, Paul Simon, Medeski Martin and Wood, Karl Denson's Tiny Universe, Trombone Shorty, Galactic, Girl Talk....even STS9 wasn't too bad. Oh yeah and Motorhead
the scenery is bar none the best as well

I don't really understand why sts9 gets so much shite on this board (guess it's the overwhelming amount of philistines and southern simpletons) They have some really good chill music. I've always enjoyed their live shows especially when they ha the led screen. You just can't go in with an expectation of seeing a jam band. Just glorified djs really with a pretty good percussion ensemble.

It had a great inaugural year as well but 2011 was definitely the best. 2012 was alright. The headliners sucked except Jack White but it was the beginning of it's downfall. The 2 sets of Cheese were fiya.
2011 would have been legendary had they not booked the awful Foo Fighters. Such a waste of money
I rode the Mega-drop trippin face after Cheese and it was exhilarating.

The foo fighters saved the day when Cee Lo green's lazy fatass didnt show up on time for his set..that said I still left early before their set
