Guitar players, what is your most frustrating chord change?

After years of frustration, I can never tell if moving from Bb to F barre chord will be smooth or not. I sometimes practice that transition for an hour, using various strumming and/or picking patterns. Sometimes I nail it...often I do not. Lol

What gives you fits?

From anything to Bb.

From anything to F barre.

There are plenty of other songs without those chords, so I just play them instead.

Y'all need to give up those 6 string Devils and get up on piano.... Up where the air is crisp... And the chords flow beautifully

That makes you just like everybody else

Lucky for us though, our guitar is full of easier ways to do everything.

Time to learn chord building. You will be glad that you did.

I kind of think, that is the purpose of good old style teaching. We always want to create a monster.

Do you let it stop you?

Slight hijack.

What is the rapid 3-chord change in Communication Breakdown and Tangerine?

Tangerine sounds doable to a novice like me, but I may be kidding myself.

Tangerine

Are you talking about at the end of the line "I only find it slips away to grey"? If so, it's Am G D but he sort of arpeggiates them.

I am not sure what song he is referring to, but I love that progression.

Oh, I played around those chords for years! I finally said screw it, though, a couple years ago and began playing them. I find them very useful for the most part, but some transitions still give me issues.

Surprised nobody has made a bar chord cheat?

Meaning a device or wrap for the index finger. Makes it easier to fret all strings but not mute and supple enough to still bend finger.

I'll work on that. I'll be rich. THANKS Music Board!!

There is a fancier part I think you are talking about, but there is also a strum that is more my speed.

You utterly lose my dumb arse when you speak of arpeggios.

I don't even have good callouses yet. Why you bullying me?
