re: Guitar guys. General discussion. Your ability and length of time playing?

Picked up my first guitar Feb 2016.

I have an electric strat and electric acoustic.

My scale of competency is a little different:

1. Creates noise…annoys the neighbors…cops called
2. Neighbors tolerate the occasional cord that rings true, a riff might sound recognizable.
3. Neighbor’s notice the somewhat musical tones coming from next door. It could be an actual song.
4. Neighbors/friends recognize the songs and ask if you could gig a street party for them… free of course
5. Neighbor’s call you up and offer to pay you for your axe skills.
6. Neighbor’s call you up to do a gig…. You have left town to tour with Joe Bonamassa (insert your guitar god here)
7. You meet your new neighbors..."Hi, I'm Joe....Joe Bonamassa (insert your guitar god here), how ya doin'?"

After 3 months practicing everyday... I put myself at a solid 2.85... I need to learn more songs.

Still find the acoustic significantly more challenging to get clean noise.

I'm a 3 on that scale.

I'm a 4. Can play over three hours of songs in a sitting if I want (chords and solos)

I only get to play for an hour or so every other week if I am lucky.
