Truth.

Nevermind and Ten are amazing albums, but he asked for favorite songs. Almost every song off off those albums that people list has been extensively overplayed in the 20 years since their release. Hence, why I put Even Flow. It's one of my favorite songs off the album and for being a "Hit Single", I don't hear it near as much as Jeremy or Alive.

But to be fair, I wouldn't consider Smashing Pumpkins alt rock and especially not Grunge. They're about as alt-rock as 90's REM, which I would have put on the list if we were just doing "90s bands".

So tough to pin one song....but the other day I heard Cannonball by The Breeders.

If that bass line doesn't take back to the 90's, then nothing will.
