Still think Anthem may be their best song (then again, I'm most certainly not a Rush fan).

Man, that was worse than I was expecting. I started with Black Smoke Rising and aside from being a generally pedestrian song, it just sounded sloppy.

You're the One sounds like any number of short-lived and mediocre bands that played at the Caterie in the early aughts.

I'm actually surprised that Jenny's hippy outfit from Forrest Gump has survived this long.

Rush put out some pretty good stuff...when they first started out many considered them a Led Z knockoff, too.

Rush was always more talented than these dudes, even with John Rutsey.

That second song was AWFUL. First mediocre. We need to get the person who makes the SHREDS videos ( see Disturbed Shreds) to make one of the "You're the One" performance on SNL. It's freaking perfect for it.

it was painful - doesn't he usually have a good voice?

- also he has no ideas what to do with his hands

ETA: Best comment was "Glad to see Frodo was able to find work after destroying the ring."

Beat me to it. Maybe they’re living in an alternate time and space than the rest of us.

Maybe Greta Van Fleet are talented in that universe.

Never found him to have a good voice. It's forced.

I like GVF but damn that was terrible and awkward. I felt like I was watching a high school talent show.

It is bizarre to me that everyone who seems to like rock music loves to take a shite on a group of young talented kids trying to make it as a rock band. Give the kids a chance they just put out their first album of songs they wrote at 20.

Their sound will evolve. Seems bizarre to dismiss and reject them before they have a chance.

I thought the lead singer was a really ugly girl for the first half of their first SNL performance.

so because they're young we have to like the music they put out? It's a direct knockoff of LZ, don't care.

If they grow up and make more music that is good, maybe I'll like that. I don't like this

They have been given a bigger chance than almost any other band at that stage in their career. It's not the listeners fault that they are being force-fed down our collective throat.
