Pink Floyd Comfortably Numb Live in NOLA at the Superdome in ‘94

Gilmour has been quoted saying this was his best live rendition of the song. This song with Gilmour’s guitar solo whaling along with the massive disco ball spinning around the Dome’s huge raucous crowd that night was quite a memory.

Of course this is a bootleg recording as no official recording has ever been released unfortunately.

I got to meet Doyle when he came to Lafayette a few years ago. I was working downtown at the time and had a parking spot behind the Pub he played at.

Went around the corner to a secluded gate to get to my truck, and there he was next to the bus on his cell phone.

I was taken aback. Recognized him immediately and just said as I was walking by to get to my truck "look forward to seeing you play tonight".

He put whoever it was on hold to stop me, thank me, and shake my hand. I just took the gesture and walked off. Wasn't my intent to bother him due to the call.

A singer stepped to the microphone in a talent contest. The lady MC asked her name and age, and what she was going to sing. The MC then stepped aside and the performer began to sing with a recorded soundtrack. After about 30 seconds, the video camera operator panned from the singer to the MC standing off to the right stage. The lady was weeping. The singer was Jacqueline Evancho from Pittsburg, Pennsylvania, and she was singing "O Mio Babbino Caro" in Italian. She was 8 years old. Her similar performance of "Time to Say Goodbye" (written by Andrea Bocelli and Sarah Brightman) is one of the greatest vocal performances ever, considering.

I agree with echoes, but like the Gdansk version better.

This is my favorite as well. Last time David and Rick played it together. The last 5 mis of that performance should last 20.

The Jayhawks - Save It For a Rainy Day performed on Letterman.
