Yes!

You can actually stream a "remake" of the station here: https://www.rock101klol.com

KEXP- Seattle, Former University of Washington station: Mostly indie but they support all genres throughout the week. They have an awesome studio and are famous for their live performances channel on YouTube. They offer tours of the station and I was able to do so when I visited Seattle. I stream it all of the time.

WNCW- Western North Carolina, Spindale Community College station: Americana, Country (real country), Bluegrass, Blues, and Classic Rock. They have a nightly Grateful Dead hour. I grew up listening to this station. NPR's World Cafe creators visited this station and studied it prior to creating World Cafe. They still give it a shout out every once in awhile.

KMBQ in Shreveport from the 70s to mid 80s

Yep. There was nothing around here when I was a kid but top 40, country, and church music. Then a friend told me his older brother listened to KMBQ and it was "album rock."

I didn't know what that meant, but his brother was cool, so I checked it out. That was how I discovered a whole new world of music.

They eventually changed format to country and changed the call letters to KITT. Soon after, KTAL 98 Rocks started and sort of took its place as the rock station in the market.

I don't listen to the radio much anymore, but I bet 98 Rocks is still playing the same 300 or so classic rock songs that they rotated 25 years ago.

As much as I hate to admit it......91.1. KNLU from 1990-2000

I worked there when it went from 88.7 to 91.1. It was quite the adjustment with frequency and call letter change!

Believe it or not, but, KSMB, K94, Lafayette, was a fantastic station back in the 70’s. The epitome of rockin FM. They had the Rock n Roll Airforce. Dave Barry, great DJ. Then disco killed it.
