Instead of focusing on one specific track, why not change the thread title to "Classic Country Music"?

I loved in the Ken Burns documentary, how they talked about Possum taking multiple takes to record it because he was using the melody of Help Me Make It Through the Night. He finally gets it, and says as he leaves, "Nobody'll buy that morbid son of a bitch."

Wasn't Tammy Wynette, "Stand by Your Man" rated as the #1 country song of all time a few years ago. I believe "He Stopped Loving Her Today" was #2. Both are great songs.
