Nice setup. I need to get myself a few SM57s.

Just put some new Aquarian Modern Vintage heads on my Gretsch kit. I think I like these over the Remo Ambassadors I had on it.

I have an Alesis Electronic kit, I use to learn drums. Its cool because you can plug it right into an interface or a multifx/looper. I'd still like to go analog one day though.

I’m not a drummer first but I caught the bug a few years back after playing a kit at a party. I’m fortunate to have the space for it (and understanding neighbors). I don’t think I’m all that great but I spend more time on it these days than any other instrument.

I also would use a Sennheiser MD 421 mic and sometimes even an SM58. But those microphones are back in Louisiana with my other instruments.

I’d like a pair of these for toms but also because you can use them on a host of other sources. Having a U series would be pretty fancy also.

Pretty simple
1977 Stratocaster (bought it in 79), or a MIM Tele
Korg Tuner
Original Ibanez TS9 (bought in early 80s)
Blackface Deluxe reverb clone. I had a original 1965 model, but needed money back in the 80s

What DAW is everyone using? I started with Studio One, but am considering other options.

Pro Tools. Used Ableton Live for a while but mostly just used it to compose and experiment. Had troubles with the program crashing though. Tried Apple Logic but did not like it. Also gave Reaper a little toss but it didn’t catch.

I have too much stuff and you all have seen the highlights over the years. One of the perks of owning a shop is my personal guitars double as legit business expenses/write-offs in the form of demonstration tools, marketing and promotional items, etc. That's the reason for my good fortune gear-wise, no way I could afford or amass this stuff otherwise.
For the first 30 years of my playing life, I usually had two nice electrics, one maybe two nice acoustics, and one good amp. I just counted seven amps between the workshop, the pickup winding room and our den. It's still kinda weird to me.
For bandwidth's sake, I'll just share my latest shop demo build. It's a Strat/Tele/LP Junior/Special hybrid tribute haha. One piece featherweight figured ash with Strat bevels and contours. I love a classic butterscotch, but this worn wheat/straw color is too cool.
It hosts a direct-mounted Carondelet TPA-90, which is a bridge position P-90 blueprint shoved into a Telecaster bridge position footprint. And one of my neck position SPA-90 pickups for Strats.

I’ve had the same guitar since high school (‘71 Gibson ES-330). Only got a strat since then but only kept it for a few years. I’ve been shopping for a new guitar over the last year but I am just too indecisive to pull the trigger on something.
In recent years I’ve branched out to other instruments (bass, drums, synths) and home studio building. Most of my attention now goes toward learning about studio gear. One of these days when I’m brave enough I intend get some nice outboard gear but I feel like I need to justify that by spending more time recording and mixing. Stuff gets really expensive really quick. Sticking to plugins for now.

I've been using Reaper lately. I like it, it's cheap and easy to use.

Usually I use the stock plugins of whatever DAW I'm working in. I also have the Arturia keyboard collection. I haven't completely found my zone in regards to plugins yet.
