I initially heard he was in a coma so I guess this is somewhat good news. 52 yrs old, great songwriter. “Stacy’s Mom” was not his best song. Check out some old FOW or other Adam Schlesinger projects since we all have a lot of free time. “ LINK

Coronavirus, just doing that thing you do, hope he can get back to Hackensack. Sending positive radiation vibes his way.

FOW’s homage to Devo.

Obviously I dig those guys. Get well soon Adam.

FOW covers the Hollies

Okay, okay that’s the last one.

Just listened to the albums Fountains of Wayne’ and ‘Utopia Parkway’ all the way through. Forgot how much I wore those CDs out.

Stacy’s mom probably gave it to him.

That sucks! The next month is probably going to take a lot more of the musicians we love.

There have been several recent articles about how the next decade will see the passing of many (most?) R&R legends.

I hate to say that the process may get speeded up.

Damn, I didn’t know he wrote “That Thing You Do”... I always wondered who did the music for that movie, but never took the time to google it.

Several people. IIRC the legendary Jeff Barry ("Hanky Panky", "Sugar Sugar") wrote some songs for it.

He got robbed of an Oscar, IMO. I love that movie. Some of the songs in it are amazing and would have been MONSTER hits if they had come out back then IRL.

I had no idea he was part of this, and I have been loving This Is The Day for many years.

The U.S. government needs to spend whatever possible to keep Neil Young and Bob Dylan alive. Put one of those damn reverse air things in their homes like you have in those clean rooms where they make computer chips. And the Brits better look after Paul McCartney, Mick Jagger, Ray Davies and Pete Townshend.

I read about this story this morning.

He also had stage 4 pancreatic cancer and has been fighting it for months.
