SOTM is a Jerry tune. "A lovely view of heaven, but I'd rather be with you...be with you...BE WITH YOU!!!"

I was referring to the album titled Crimson White and Indigo. It is Philly 89 and the last show at JFK.

Im sorry, but once jerry died the magic was gone. Ive seen some awesome post jerry dead members shows, but there was no magic like when the fat man was around.

oh, i agree, hence "almost but not quite"....although if jerry lived & continued declining, by 1998 (when i saw the other ones) it might've been a tough call in a head-to-head matchup...

I wonder if Kenny Wayne Shepherd's dad had anything to do with this. Shepherd's dad (he was a radio DJ in Shreveport and big Tiger fan) and Hornsby are really close friends.

Good song. He has a handful of great songs but I probably have to go with:

Look Out Any Window

I don't know much about Hornsby. Most Dead I listen to is 70,71,72,73,77,84,and 89.

You're missing out. Hornsby brings the magic out of jerry,

But im not a picky deadhead, i love it all. 88 is better than 89 imo.

I was at the first show Bruce and his accordion sat in with the Dead up at Buckeye Lake in 88. He opened as well. Pretty standard 88 show, short tight and little jamming. The Other One> Wharf Rat> Throwing Stones was a popular one in summer 88.
