If you want to listen to a exceptional classical album, check out Alexandre Tharaud playing Rachmaniff Piano Concerto No. 2 plus a few other works. The main piece is played beautifully, and the shorter pieces are also well done.
Tharaud is my current favorite pianist.

Thanks for the rec. I was once a big classical fan but I've lapsed and haven't followed it in quite a while. I really need to get back into it.

I like classical stuff played on a banjo.

Exactly what I had in mind! 
Really makes me want to buy a real banjo. I have a 6 string banjo that I modified to string differently,trying to get a more authentic banjo sound.
It works pretty well for a guitar player trying to get closer to the right sound,but it's still not right.

In the last few years, I've gotten where I enjoy roots music, especially if it involves a group of top flight string players.
