Finally saw Sturgill!

Holy shite what a show. Three straight hours of jamming! Opened with Procul Harums Whiter Shade of pale, did Allman brothers midnight rider, Other covers including Rage Against the Machine. Just a great night of music. Make sure you go off near you.

I really want to see him. Had to cancel the Brandon, MS show recently as my daughter wound up having a conflicting event that night.

He told us in Brandon to hang on for 3 hours, and he was right. That dude comes out blazing and then turns up the juice for the next few hours. amazing energy.
And his "covers" are straight fire*. He did LA Women in Brandon.
Same with JRAD in NOLA this weekend. Started a melody with Pink Floyd's Pigs on a Wing to 3 Dead songs and ended the 40 minute jam with the Allman Brothers Hot' Lanta. Wow.

according to Set List, Sturgill hasn't played/covered any RATM songs. After a 9-year hiatus (2016), he recently started playing Nirvana's In Bloom again. LA Woman and Living Loving Maid (Zeppelin) are played often on this tour.
