The Bob & Doug McKenzie sketches (which I never much cared for) on SCTV started b/c the gov't in Canada (where it was filmed) inissted the show had to have a certain amount of "Canadian Content" in each episode. So Dave Thomas and Rick Moranis dreamed up some offensive Canuck hoser stereotypes, eh -- and that satisfied the gov't.

IT was a rap station back when XM first came out I didn't know if it made it thru the merger...
Mizz Kitty and LEo G were the DJs
it was raw to say the least

Rude Jude and Lord Sear on Shade 45 crack me up.
FWIW, if anyone had SiriusXM in their vehicle, but let the subscription expire, SiriusXM reactivated it starting Aug 28th and you have until 9/11 to listen for free. They gave 2 free weeks of listening to all ex-subscribers.

XMU has single handily plugged me back into the music discovering obsession, which was all i used to do until my kid and life got in the way.
And Chill is a great station. Mixes laid back drum and bass, down beat, dream pop, and space rock all on one channel.
