Fender Mustang LT25

My friend has the Mustang LT25. I don't know much about it, but it sounds fine for playing around in his living room. I wish he had something smaller, because he always turns it up louder than needed. We're just working on writing songs, you don't need to be loud for that.
I bought one of the Champ 25s back around Christmas. I haven't even opened the box yet. I bought it just for the reason you said, it seemed more simple to use. I still don't know.
For doing what we do, I really like to just use my 3 watt Orange mini. It's just loud enough to hear my Acoustasonic Telecaster and I don't need to scream my words above it. I just wish it had some kind of reverb built in.
I've been intending to buy one of the 5 watt Vibro Champs , but I needed some recording stuff first. Maybe this month I can get one.

I've been considering this amp also and I can order it now for $250.00. A guy I know has one, but he's never offered to let me try it. It does sound great though.
The Smart Jam feature seems like it could be a great thing if it works well. Does it?

From what I've read, it's an app that plays bass and drums along with whatever you play on your guitar.
I'm sure it's great if it's a fairly repetitive thing. Just wondering how well it will work when there are differing chorus and bridges, does it adjust fast enough?

Youtube is dangerous. I came across a guy who swapped the speaker out for a Celestion on his Mustang, I'm already starting to slide down a rabbit hole on this one.

Been wanting one for 40 years, specifically since "The Ultimate Ozzy" came out on VHS in August 1986. Finances and availability always got in the way.

Fast forward to 2026, and I start winding pickups for and working on guitars for the man himself. No more excuses or procrastinating, now I HAD to get my own blueburst to assist in "our" pickup prototype testing. How convenient :)

The LT25 was the first amp I bought and I almost immediately upgraded to the GTX50 just to get something bigger for playing out and for the easier access to additional tones on their website. Both are nice at what they do and the LT25 nails Fender Clean as well as their GTX models.

For the last few weeks I've been playing through my buddy's Fender Blues Deluxe Reissue tube amp and it's all over for me. We play 50% surf rock and my ears finally evolved to where I can finally hear the difference. And it's like going from black and white world to color or a two dimension flat picture to three dimensions. The warmth and expansiveness of the tone is incredible. When the right deal comes along I'll be owning one.

All of the above said (and even after I get a tube amp), I would probably rarely if ever take it out to play publically. That sucker weighs a ton and the ease of switching tones on the modeling amp outweighs the upgraded sound.

Each amp has it's place and your wife did a such a kindness for you to have some fun playing. And if you upgrade down the line you can always pass it along to a new player. Have fun on your musical journey, my friend!

I have one - it's my main amp in fact. It is awesome.
