Favorite Albums of the Decade (so far)

As crazy as it seems, we are over halfway through the 2010s. Figured it would be interesting to see what people’s favorites were through this point. I was planning on doing a top 10, but I couldn’t decide which of the following albums to cut, so here is my top 11 in rough order:
Titus Andronicus- The Monitor (2010)
Sufjan Stevens- Carrie and Lowell (2015)
LCD Soundsystem- This is Happening (2010)
The National- High Violet (2010)
The War on Drugs- Lost in a Dream (2014)
Cloud Nothings- Attack on Memory (2012)
Arcade Fire- The Suburbs (2010)
Deerhunter- Halycon Digest (2010)
Kanye West- My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy (2010)
The Tallest Man on Earth- The Wild Hunt (2010)
Fleet Foxes- Helplessness Blues (2011)
The thing that stands out to me is how stacked 2010 was. Seven of my eleven (including my number 1) come from 2010, plus some other greats albums that just missed.

Kurt Vile - Walkin on a pretty daze
Destroyer - Kaputt
Bon Iver - Bon Iver, Bon Iver
Tame Impala - Lonerism
Beach House - Teen Dream
I still don't know how I would rank them in a top 10. The Monitor is still my no. 1 though.

Beach House, Kurt Vile and Bon Iver would all be in my next ten for sure. I like Tame Impala, but not as much as most people. And I love Dan Bejar in the New Pornographers, but I could never get into that Destroyer album.

I know it's not in a genre everyone likes, but a real masterpiece in the metalcore genre is Periphery 1. Every song is a metalcore fans wet dream.
Alterbridge's Fortress album though tops it for me. Every song is a great listen. Makes me wonder why so many people hate on the band.
