I like them both, but find Pure Comedy has way more depth. I can't imagine something topping it this year for me.

I'm a huge Father John Misty fan but Pure Comedy is kind of falling flat for me. Musically it's so banal. I wish it had the variety of music and theme I Love You Honeybear has. I like it, but to me it's solidly his third best album.

The title track is so bad that I haven't listened to the whole album yet. Maybe one day.
Album of the year for me so far is probably eithe Future Islands, Real Estate or, surprisingly enough, The Shins. Really haven't cared for their more recent work but I like this one a lot.
