A Little Bit of Everything

Man, two good answers right off the bat. Both hit home for different reasons.

Landslide by Fleetwood Mac will tear me up ever time I hear it. Was the song me and my mom danced to at my wedding. She passed 3 years ago. Just recently got to where I can listen to it.

Edit to add If We Were Vampires by Isbell. My wife cried at this one live. Knowing the strong love you have with your spouse will eventually end and hoping your the first to go is a harsh reality. Hits hard.

Was at a neighbors backyard hootenanny a couple of weeks ago and Michele Shocked, neighbors daughter, sang "Memories of East Texas" and the song made me think about my dad who passed 2 years ago and my eyes got runny

When the Liverpool fans sang this to Ronaldo after the death of his son. Damn. Get goosebumps every time

Yeah tons, especially the last six months after my dad died. Everything seems to remind me of him.

This one isn't very mainstream, but if you've ever gone through losing a parent or grandparent that was in a "patriarchal power couple" (i.e., they were the rock and foundation of your family and they were the embodiment and example of what love really is)... This one is for you.

Written from the man's perspective, but can easily be looked at through the lens of him passing rather than her. The lyrics are wonderfully written.
I lost my grandfather (85 years old) this last December. Hadn't fully processed it in March still when this album came out. This song melted me while I was having coffee with my then girlfriend.

"Corner My Confidence" by Coheed and Cambria

Lady
I know you’re here with me somehow
Lately
It feels the future’s left me out

Wait for the curtains to fall on your past
How could I be so certain this
Would be the last
Place I came so close
To be the one you chose?

Endings don’t come any easier
As I needed one, you stole the sun
Caught in the flare, we were amateurs
Scared to get burned as time slowly
Turns to the unknown
I corner my confidence
And together, we break the mold

Save me
I fear I’m drowning in my doubt
Hold me
My time is quickly running out

Endings don’t come any easier
As I needed one, you stole the sun
Caught in the flare, we were amateurs
Scared to get burned, as time slowly
Turns to the unknown
I corner my confidence
Don’t let me go
Your hand’s the only one I hold
And together, we’ll break the mold

You’re my only need
I’d relieve our worst days over
For one inch closer
I just want you to stay here with me

Wait for the curtains to fall on your past
How could I be so certain I would be the last
One you finally chose?
I corner my confidence
And together, we break the mold

Shannon by Henry Gross. Based on a true story tears me up because I love dogs and had an Irish Setter same time this song came out.
