What 90s hip-hop albums would you rank ahead of this one? I tend to have "Ready to Die" above it, but I have this 2nd on most days. "Illmatic" just doesn't have the rawness that this one has.
I prefer the more gritty East Coast style over the G-Funk of the West Coast even though The Chronic is right there with these on my "list."

Mobb Deep - The Infamous would have to be up there pretty high, I think. Not sure it overtakes any of those that you mentioned, though.

I was raised in the West, so I prefer the West Coast.

A personal favorite that's underated and definitely in my top 10 is 8 Ball & MJG On Top of the World.
