quote:

If you say it wasn't racial
When they shot him in his tracks
Well I guess that means that you ain't black
It means that you ain't black
I mean Barack Obama won
And you can choose where to eat
But you don't see too many white kids
Lying bleeding on the street

quote:

And when they turned him over
They were surprised there was no gun
I mean he must have done something
Or else why would he have run

quote:

And that guy who killed that kid
Down in Florida standing ground
Is free to beat up on his girlfriend
And wave his brand new gun around
While some kid is dead and buried
And laying in the ground
With a pocket full of skittles

quote:

We trust science just as long
As it tells us what we want to hear
We want our truths all fair and balanced
As long as our notions lie within it
There's no sunlight in our arse'
And our heads are stuck up in it

None for me thanks.

I'm just going to pretend the band broke up after The Big To-Do in 2010.

They have never been shy about their political view, nor have they ever tried to dodge the tough topics. This is not something new on this album.

I think it is. It was never this bad. It's like they felt their liberal whiney ways weren't getting enough attention so they had to try harder.

I don't have a problem talking about politics if you talk about the hypocrisy of both sides. When you just become a shill for one party and say your's does no wrong, then you lose all credibility. Patterson has been going down this road for awhile, so not surprising, but disappointing. Eat a dick Patterson.

I'm a huge fan of the band. I haven't heard the album yet, but those lyrics are pretty cringeworthy. I'm not really political, but they just seems so ham-fisted.

I think he moved to Portland to be around his people.
