Do you have a favorite decade in music and if so, why?

My vote goes for the 60's: CCR, Led Zeppelin, The Rolling Stones, Cream, Pink Floyd, Jefferson Airplane, Grateful Dead, The Temptations, The Hollies and The Stooges are just a few reasons why.

if i had to choose, i'd say the '70s ... lot of great bands from the '60s put out a lot of great music in the '70s ... lot of great bands started in the '70s ...

I'm an '80's kid, but think it's the '70's. The era that basically made classic rock. Even with disco garbage.

This is quite true but the 70's also disgraced the music world with Disco. Therefore they are relegated to 3rd place on my list behind the 60's and the 40's (luv me some big band swing).

I agree, I like the 70's but bands like the goddamned bee gees makes me like it a whole lot less.

1963-1972 or so. That's the decade I grew up in, but it was also the period where rock broke away from strictly teen romance music to something that often approached thought-provoking art.

60s and 70s was greatest music generation ever. They have stations just to play this stuff, the music was timeless and STILL used in movies and commercially. There will never be another generation like it.

The 80's definitely. And of course I mean the 1880's, but all of you pop fans probably don't know anything about it because you're too obsessed with Phish and Talyor Swift to check out some music that might not be from your century.

Probably the 90s, because that was a glorious decade of music and when I really started going to tons of live shows...
80s were great too, but other than the odd concert, for the most part, I didn't get to see a lot of live music...
