They are known as Dino-bore Jr for their live shows. I love their albums but they aren't a good live band. I've seen them 3 or 4 times including back in the early 90s and its always been a disappointment.

I saw them at Tipitina's 30 years ago and my ears rang for days. Although when I saw them at the Varsity 15 or so years ago, they were loud, but not painfully loud.

I was there! I think I heard how loud they were on this board, and made sure to bring ear plugs. That was a fun show! I think they gave the first several people a 7" single, which I still have.

I saw them open for Clutch in Cedar Rapids last year. Down in front of the stage it was definitely pretty damn loud, even in an outdoor setting. It seemed to me the mix and the style of his guitar playing combined to just batter the ears.
I’m sure indoors will be a challenge. I definitely recommend earplugs.
