cheapest are upper balcony at $95 LOL. lowers well over a hundred.

Eventually this shite will have to stop. These fools are losing money by pricing themselves out of the market. I don't go to concerts anymore due to these stupid prices

current seats available.
the show is in 4 days

the $49.50 tickets (purple, upper balcony) are $72.00 after fees. $144.00 for you and a date to see the black crowes in an empty theater. on the same night (10/13) you could go see lotus at tip's for $25

this fall is packed with good shows though…just all in the smaller venues which is fine by me. I think the bigger issue is the lack of an amphitheater (Liggett & Meyers RIP). If Jackson fricking MS can have an open air space then so can NOLA. It’s the same weather and it offers a fall/winter tour stop to go with Huntsville/Brandon/Houston etc. There’s just not a good venue that can compete for 4-5000 seat touring shows If I was czar I’d convert either zephyr field or tad gormley to a decent amphitheater

Even Gautier, MS has a new outdoor venue.
Think Champions Square went away due to Benson family infighting. There was talk years ago of building an outdoor venue on the Lakefront with the previous owner of Tipitina’s but turns out he was a fraud and has since died.

I bought presale, doh! They’re just terrific and worth the $100/seat I paid for mine but I can see it’ll be a hard sell for others. A smaller and more raucous venue with diehard fans might be more fun for them I would think

we saw Chris Robinson (as the crow flies) at the joy a couple years ago and it was a great show. I was a huge fan of his jam band (the brotherhood). I’m sure the show will be fun

let us know how it was

I’ve already seen them on this tour a few months back in Dallas. It was great but of course I enjoyed the energy more back in the early 90s. They are easily my favorite rock band. I’ll report back

looking fwd to your post Shingo

good friend was at the show and sent me this text with several videos .... " Whatever y'all do, don't miss this show ! Absolutely some of the best energy and musicianship I've seen on stage in a long time. Southern rock/jam band/rock n roll/ carrying the torch at it's highest level. "

Not Shingo, but I went. Solid and loud (my ears were ringing) show. The orchestra section was more crowded than expected given what was shown earlier in the thread. Not sure what the balcony looked like.

Wasn’t sure what to expect, but a good time, and would see them again.

I loved it although I must admit I was far from impressed by Drivin and Cryin. I really like the theatre. My problem w seeing them at a theatre with assigned seating (as opposed to Jazzfest) is that people are sitting of course. Well Chris doesn’t like that and for the 2nd time on this tour he has “scolded” the crowd for it. It’s uncomfortable for me as he’s my favorite but I’m like damn man why don’t you quit yapping and give em something to get crazy excited about?! I would’ve rather them play more “jams” or connected songs but it’s pretty cut and dry 16-17 songs with minimal thanks between songs or setting up the next one. He played the harmonica for one song which was great. Music was loud, my friend thought the keyboards might have been a little too much. Drummer was fantastic, Rich is unbelievable. Oh Sweet Nuthin is my favorite cover of theirs and Rich sang that with Chris off the stage for the whole thing. Chris mentioned that it was Sunday a couple of times and said that was it the reason for Go Tell the Congregation (which I found rather obscure and surprising like Goodbye Daughters of the Revolution). They are just so damned soulful and professional, my absolute favorite. They played the casual fan favorites well and everyone sung along full throat. I can’t imagine anyone not having a great experience.

I guess all Saengers deal with this because it's a big problem in Mobile as well. You go to a rock show and are made to feel bad by the old fricks sitting behind you
