I've seen those dates floating around for a while. Nothing is confirmed except Bonnaroo. I hope it's right but I'm still skeptical.

They're going to be on Jimmy Fallon the week of Feb 15th so hopefully tour dates are out by then. LINK

Yeah, I read a few of the comments that said some of those dates weren't real. Still holding out up though.

Charlotte is usually a cheap flight out of Nola; I think they even have direct flights from Baton Rouge ($182 round trip out of BR via Google flights) .. hotels are probably pretty cheap too..

Alpine Valley is < 2 hrs from Chicago and may be a cheaper flight if you catch a bargain
I did Fare Thee Well (7-4-15) and a family birthday in Chicago just last month and not sure wife & kids wanna do CHI for a 3rd time in 1 year
