He is a much better singer than DLR. He said he would spend an hour warming up his voice before he gets on stage.
DLR lost most of his voice and in his prime wasn't a good singer. Hagar took care of his voice by taking voice lessons in the past and sounds just as strong as he was in the past.

The music can mask mediocre or bad singing.

DLR is the better entertainer and Hagar is the better singer.
