Season 4 winner of 'The Voice' for those that don't know her.
She is 16 years old and widely considered to be the next big thing like a Carrie Underwood type, not sure that's fair to her since Carrie was 22 when she was AI and Danielle is 16 but she has one hell of a voice and I do expect her to blow up.

I couldn't think of a more stereotypical title for a country song. I refuse to listen. She's such a cookie cutter country artist.

sounds good to me, at least it's more country then anything Taylor Swift has done

I don't get it. She's just not a superstar.

considering it's her first single, nobody is under the impression she is a "superstar"

we said she had the "potential" not that she was already one

I guess. I don't even see the potential.

I read "The Heart of Dixie" and just knew it would be Trashville hog shite...Jerk off every time they say Sweet Tea. "Eveyone look how southern I am, YAWL"

That's the issue. Not a huge country fan, but when the vocalist is forced to record "xyz" shite song it doesn't matter whether the voice is great or not. The lyrics of that song are just so mediocre. Another example of the benefits of having a great voice and above average song writing skills, otherwise you are at the mercy of whatever songs can be sourced to record.

Song came out at midnight, been available for not even 5 hours yet and is into the iTunes Country Top 10 at #7.
700 ratings and a perfect 5 stars overall.

As if that is what I base my music preferences on, a bunch of shills on iTunes pumping a song for whatever purposes. I like her voice, the specific song not at all.

people are stupid, and people who buy new country music on iTunes are even stupider

Given the Voice platform & Blake Shelton/country support is that hard to believe? Still has no bearing on quality of the song.
Where is Javier Colon these days? Excellent voice, but his post-Voice release was nothing but sub-average written/composed songs. Wife drug me to a small show of his, the cover songs he performed were excellent, the new - at the time - songs had very limited appeal. Very similar to his struggles to find an audience pre-Voice exposure.
