Country music?

I'm at work and every radio station has commercials and out of frustration I switched to 101.1 for about two minutes. Never listened to country before, although IWH Carrie Underwood, but IWNH Miley Cyrus. Felt like I was in fricking Tennessee. Anyone in the OT experimented with country before?

I liked the old country; Alabama etc, but then got away from it in my late teens to early 30s. Now it's about all I can stomach. The pop/rap is absolutely crap and can't stand 99.9% of it. Now I'll do a little country but mostly talk radio or podcasts.

Pretty much all I listen to nowadays. Only genre, aside from rock, that is actually creating decent music and using actual instruments.

Depends on my mood. Most of the time no I don't listen, but occasionally I'll listen to it almost exclusively for a while.

If you're listening to the radio, then you're probably not listening to real country music. If you want some real country you're going to have to start with names like Conway Twitty, George Jones, and Merle Haggard. This modern day shite is nothing but pop music with a bit of twang to it.
