Funny. I remember the first time I heard that song. I immediately thought this is a band I need to hear more of. Saw them live not long after. They were good, but were still polishing their live performance. Good musicians (they were carefully assembled actually) but just needed to get a little tighter live. I'm sure that changed pretty rapidly with touring.

They will never top thier first album. very serious lyrics, such as "Raining in Baltimore" The whole album is great, not a bad song on it.

Adam Duritz is probably the only man in the world who can begin a conversation by saying, "I dated a couple of girls who were on Friends."

Another :csb: - Pops Midnight (RIP), who was born in the late 30s, was an Elvis man, owned "records" by Bobby "Blue" Bland, Ray Charles, etc., and considered The Beatles "punks" - LOVED Mr. Jones.

They may not be #1 all-time for me but I can't think of any band who is better. to them, I have so many good memories while listening to them...probably my best memories happened with them in the background.

I've had good stretches in my days. But Anniston and Cox in their primes? Nope.

That ugly dread locked bastard was George Clooney for 12-24 months there.
