Funny to look at my itunes. My good mood songs would get their asses beat at Sonic by my run through a wall songs.
One that I'll admit, since nobody picks on a blind brother.

Any kind of doo-wop like Kid Kyle - "So Young" or Dion & The Belmonts Live @ Madison Square Garden
Or any kind of rockabillly like Carl Perkins & Friends with George, Ringo, Clapton, etc.
I honestly defy anyone to watch the Carl Perkins special and not wear a permanent grin. The love these guys show to Carl and his music jumps off the screen. GREAT!!

Jerry Garcia's acoustic version of Dylan's It Takes A Lot To Laugh, It Takes A Train To Cry.
I listen to it damn near every morning on my ride to work.

For me, a lot of these songs are tied to memories and places from my past. Hearing the song brings back details I haven't thought of in a long time.
In particular, the songs that put me in a good mood right now are ones I listened to while backpacking a few years ago. I spent about 4 months on the Pacific Crest Trail (Campo, Calif > South Lake Tahoe), and these are some of the songs from the ipod shuffle I carried:
(all song links via YouTube)
Blitzen Trapper - Wild Mountain Nation
"Come out from the city. Come out from the town. Build, stone by stone, a wild mountain home."
Of Monsters And Men - Mountain Sound
"I heard them calling in the distance, so I packed my things and ran far away from all the trouble."
John Fogerty - Mystic Highway
"All the stars in the heavens, they been there to light my way. Without knowin’ where I’m going, probably get there anyway."
James Taylor - Country Road
"I don't know nothing 'bout the why or when. But I can tell that it's bound to be, because I could feel it, child, yeah, on a country road."
